In 1999, after the birth of my first child, I decided to buy a new sewing machine. A few months later I made my first window treatments and KC Gill Designs was born. When my daughter was born in 2002, I learned to smock and spent 8 years making her wardrobe of beautiful dresses. In 2010, I enrolled at the School of Fashion Design on Newbury Street in Boston to pursue my life long dream of making beautiful clothes for women. And in 2015 when I wanted to buy a horse head wreath and couldn't, I decided to make one myself.
And so now, KC Gill Designs is a little bit of everything. I work with several area interior designers providing window treatments for their clients, teach sewing, design clothing and other products and, during the holidays, I make my horse head wreaths.
